PASTOR ELECT
REV. DR. DAMION T. BATTS
Pastor Damion T. Batts was born on february 18, 1986. He is the son of Evelyn C. Taylor and Deacon Lloyd A. Batts. At a young age , Pastor Batts embraced the teachings of Christ. Pastor Batts joined Olive Branch Baptist Church in Dinwiddile, Virginia in 1999. after the sudden death of his uncle Marvin Venoid Taylor, who was a great influence in his life. Pastor Batts was licensed to preach on April 6, 2000. he was blessed by his pastor and congregation on March 9, 2002. when he was ordained along with the other ministers.
Upon ordination, he became a baptist minister. Pastor Batts graduated from Thomas Dale High School on June 9, 2004. He studied the word of God at Richmond Virginia Seminary, Richmond, Virginia and Andersonville Theological Seminary , Camilla, Georgia where he obtain his Doctorate of Ministry degree.
Pastor Batts answered God's call to lead the people of Mount Nebo Baptist Church in a new direction in November 2016. In 2024 Rev. Dr. Damion T. Batts is the Pastor of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Norfolk, Virginia. He is married to Danielle Jones. They have one son, Vernon Jones.
